會注意到這樂團
首先是在MTV 的年度合輯中
一首令人超驚艷的
「Flowers in the window」
淡淡清新的曲調
懶懶優雅的嗓音
下雨天就想輕哼這首歌
Wow look at you now
Flowers in the window
It's such a lovely day
And I'm glad you feel the same

Cause to stand up, out in the crowd
You are one in a million
And I love you so
Let's watch the flowers grow

這樂團的曲風與主唱
和最近爆紅的「Keane 基音」有幾分神似
Keane 曾讓我迷過兩首歌
somewhere only we know
及Everybody's Changing
後來不是很喜歡這英式搖滾厚重的「金屬感」
尖銳得刺人
再加上「越多人喜歡就越不喜歡」的微妙心態
已經算是放棄這團了

但Travis 不同
我很喜歡曲調中簡單的吉他聲
沒有其他混音與編曲的複雜
主唱輕柔略憂鬱的聲音很迷人
曲子中蒼茫晦澀的壓抑
又不失希望與雀躍

後來買精選輯才發現
深藏在腦海中的許多不知名歌曲
原來就是他們的創作
例如「Sing」

目前最愛狂聽重播了N 次的
歌曲名為「Side」
好喜歡一開始的吉他樂音
更喜歡整首歌的意境
超有感覺
